80 PERCENT OF THE CONTRACT PHYSICIANS OF PART ASPECTS OF BURN-OUT

EUR Berlin, 7 March 2011 - "The workload of the contract physicians since 1996, constant high," says the chairman of the Brendan-Schmittmann Foundation NAV-Virchow-Bund, Prof. Dr. Harald Mau, the results of the new study on burn-out syndrome .
"The contract-medical activities in the light of the burn-out syndrome". The statements are based on the results of surveys of registered doctors in the years 1996, 2002, 2004, 2007 and 2010 so as to represent a period of 15 years.
Although impressive on the basis of predetermined indicators only 5 to 10 percent of doctors surveyed by the full body of the fatigue syndrome affected. About 80 percent of the contract doctors, however, has aspects of a burn-outs. On the other hand is a group of about 12 to 18 percent of the surveyed doctors is far from a burn-out.
